Concerning Your Finished Art Projects
Refers to your clay projects only.
Due to the medium of working with clay, there is a drying time required before pieces can be put in the kiln, fired, and glazed. Your pieces will need to dry slowly depending on the size you make them. Before our last session together Eileen will discuss with you what glaze colors you would like and she will glaze them for you. Arrangements will be made for shipping your pieces to you when they are finished.
Payment will be collected for shipping costs before you leave. If you live in the five state areas (MN, WI, IA, ND, SD), we will ship them by Spee-Dee Delivery. Outside those areas we will use UPS. You can expect your pieces to be delivered generally within 3 weeks.

LIST OF ART PROJECTS
Lace Pottery Bowl
Lace pottery is food safe and dishwasher safe. You will be transferring a lace doily to your stoneware slab of clay. A number of steps are involved in making your bowl. If you would like a two-tone glaze, you will be painting on an underglaze over your doily. If you would like a solid color, you will not do that step. The bowl size will be 6 inches wide by 2-1/2 inched deep.
*This project will need two weeks to dry and be fired. So you will need to pick them up or have them shipped.
Handmade Pottery Tile
Your handmade pottery tile will be ½ inch thick and 6x6 inches wide. This tile could be used as a coaster or put them altogether and make a tile design that could be put on the wall or as tile inlays on the floor. You can use your imagination and come up with a unique use for them! They will be made of stoneware clay and glazed. The construction process uses a slab technique. Then you will either be adding clay to make a design on it or cutting away a design. You could do both, adding and cutting away if you would like! A choice of glaze colors will be offered. It will be an overall color.
*This project requires slow drying and a glaze firing. It will generally take two weeks before it will be ready to be picked up. You can also arrange with me to have them shipped if you would like.
